Elissa Graves, Esq., serves as legal counsel with Alliance Defending Freedom, where she is a key member of the Center for Life.
Since joining ADF in 2013, Graves has focused her efforts on challenging the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services mandate that forces employers to provide employees with healthcare coverage that includes free contraceptive and abortifacient drugs—regardless of whether this violates their religious convictions. She also has worked on free speech cases for pregnancy resource centers and pro-life sidewalk counselors.
Graves earned her J.D. at the University of Texas School of Law in 2013. She is admitted to the state bars of Arizona, Texas, and the District of Columbia. She is also admitted to various federal courts, including the District of Arizona, the Northern District of Texas, and the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the 3rd and District of Columbia Circuits.
