Jay ThompsonWith the support of ADF, my firm was pleased to have me draft a U.S. Supreme Court amicus brief on religious freedom issues under the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act. Later that year, the firm allowed me to assist three local City and County Councils that received threats from the Freedom From Religion Foundation demanding they cease praying before their public meetings.
When the citizens of these municipalities were confused about their rights to pray in public, I was privileged to work with several Allied Attorneys, the local family policy council, and ADF staff attorneys to come to their aid. I’m proud to report that each City and County Council continues to open their meetings with prayer. My experience as an Allied Attorney has been rewarding both for me and for those whom I have had the privilege to serve, and I am thankful for the opportunities it has provided.”
