Horizon Christian Fellowship v. Williamson

The following quote may be attributed to Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel Ryan Tucker regarding Greenville, Miss., Mayor Errick Simmons’ announcement Monday that his order prohibiting drive-in church services during the COVID-19 crisis will stand despite a lawsuit, Temple Baptist Church v. City of Greenville, that ADF attorneys filed Friday to challenge the order:

“It’s disappointing to see the city of Greenville continue this unconstitutional, unwarranted ban on drive-in church services. This church has taken on creative ways to minister to people in its community without access to social media. The city’s order is baseless, and so we intend to continue aggressively pursuing our case against it in court.”

Alliance Defending Freedom is an alliance-building, non-profit legal organization that advocates for the right of people to freely live out their faith.
