Planned Parenthood's War on Women: It's Not a Choice, It's a Demand

It could be really easy to watch the Planned Parenthood videos and then sit back and point fingers at the women who help keep the abortion giant in business. After all, how could these mothers abort their babies and let Planned Parenthood sell them off for parts?

But it's important to remember that many of these mothers are victims of Planned Parenthood's war on women and their unborn children.

Today's sixth undercover video released by the Center for Medical Progress is another eye-opening example of just how far Planned Parenthood will go to make money off of women and children. Here are three key realities of Planned Parenthood's war on women shown in the sixth video:

1. Planned Parenthood lies to women.

Planned Parenthood's abortion business begins with the same lie every time: that unborn children are simply "products of conception" and not actually babies. They've reinforced this lie by fighting against laws designed to promote informed consent by requiring things like ultrasounds, which clearly show a living baby in the womb… although if you saw the first video you know that they will use ultrasound during abortions to help them obtain intact organs for resale.

But it gets worse.

Women are told that abortion is a choice they make for themselves…for the betterment of their future. But what Planned Parenthood doesn't tell these expectant mothers is that abortion harms women. The former StemExpress tech featured in the sixth video describes the "screaming" and "crying" that would go on in Planned Parenthood. “If abortion was a good thing," she says, "there wouldn’t be so much emotional damage from it. End of story.”

2. Planned Parenthood doesn't care about women's dignity or privacy.

Planned Parenthood really likes to talk about women's privacy and dignity. In a statement released after the third undercover video came out, the organization described the videos as a, "profoundly offensive violation of privacy and dignity."

Privacy and dignity are often cited in defense of buffer zone laws, which attempt to prevent pro-lifers from praying for or sharing the truth with women outside of abortion clinics. These buzz words are also used in fights against parental notification laws, because apparently notifying parents that their underage daughter is having an abortion is a violation of privacy.

But it's behind Planned Parenthood's doors that the true violation of women's dignity and privacy begins. The sixth video tells us that StemExpress employees lie in wait hoping to get some checkmarks on the day's baby body part list. If Planned Parenthood really wanted to protect women's dignity and privacy, they wouldn't give third parties like StemExpress access to their patient records and schedules knowing that their primary goal is to make a few bucks.

3. Women are pressured to "donate" their babies' dead bodies for Planned Parenthood's gain.

Pregnant women who enter a Planned Parenthood that harvests baby body parts aren't treated like patients—they are treated like incubators carrying a bunch of parts that are only valued for how much money they are worth. Here are a couple of telling quotes from the latest undercover video:

  • “You have to get her, make sure you get her.”
  • “It’s not an option… it’s a demand."
  • “If there was a higher gestation, and the technicians needed it, there were times where they would just take what they wanted. And these mothers don’t know. And there’s no way they would know.”
  • “I’m not going to tell a girl to kill her baby so I can get money…and that’s what this company does. Straight up. That’s what this company does.”
  • “Pregnancy tests are potential pregnancies, therefore potential specimens. So it’s just taking advantage of the opportunities.”
  • “The women I worked for were… cold. They don’t care. They just wanted their money."

Planned Parenthood claims to care about "women's health," but these videos show the brutal reality of what goes on behind Planned Parenthood's doors. They have an agenda and pregnant women are simply a means to an end for fulfilling that agenda.

Take Action:

We cannot let women stay in the dark about Planned Parenthood any longer. Share the Whole Story with your family and friends, and get involved in the movement to defund Planned Parenthood today. Our taxpayer dollars should not contribute to such an unethical war on women and gross violation of human life.
