ProtectMarriage.com legal team will appeal latest decision in California Marriage Amendment lawsuit

SAN FRANCISCO — The ProtectMarriage.com legal team released a statement Tuesday on a decision and order issued by U.S. District Chief Judge James Ware in the Perry v. Brown lawsuit before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, San Francisco Division.

“The ProtectMarriage.com legal team obviously disagrees with today’s ruling,” said Charles J. Cooper of Cooper & Kirk, lead counsel for ProtectMarriage.com. “Our legal team will appeal this decision and continue our tireless efforts to defend the will of the people of California to preserve marriage as the union of a man and a woman.”
