BLOGStudents Can Make a Difference at Bring Your Bible to School Day

By Sarah Kramer Posted on: | October 02, 2017

This Thursday, thousands of students will participate in “Bring Your Bible to School Day,” sponsored by our friends at Focus on the Family. Not only have these students courageously committed to bringing their Bibles to school and sharing their faith with their fellow students, but they are also exercising their right to religious freedom.

In a culture that tells them to leave their faith at home, many students don’t even know that they are allowed to talk about their faith at school. Students like ChaseKatie, and Nathan have faced opposition when they have tried to do so. But the truth is that students have a right to freely live out their faith – even at school – and Alliance Defending Freedom stands ready to defend that right.

God works through these students when they are brave enough to stand up for Him at school, and students across the country have noticed God at work through this event:

For more information on this year’s event, visit Focus on the Family’s official page and sign up for more information and tools.  To learn more about a student’s constitutional right to participate in and promote “Bring Your Bible to School Day,” check out this memo from ADF. Encourage Your Student to Bring Their Bible to School on Thursday

We would love to hear your student’s story of their “Bring Your Bible to School Day” experience on social media—just use the hashtag #BringYourBible. And if you think that your student’s rights were violated as a result of their participation in “Bring Your Bible to School Day,” please do not hesitate to reach out to ADF so that we can review your situation and possibly offer free legal assistance.
