Donna R. Ecton
Donna Ecton is Chairman and CEO of EEI Inc., which she founded in 1998. EEI is a management consulting practice, providing private equity and sub debt firms with due diligence and market/operational assessments of companies being considered for acquisition. In addition, EEI turns around troubled portfolio companies and serves as a mentor/coach for CEOs.
Prior to this, Ms. Ecton served on the Board of Directors of PetsMart where she was asked to take over the role of Chief Operating Officer. Her other operating experience includes serving as CEO of Business Mail Express, Inc., Van Houten North America, and Andes Candies, Inc. Ms. Ecton also served as a corporate officer of Nutri/System, Inc. and Campbell Soup Company, as well as managing the upper Manhattan middle market lending business and the midtown Manhattan banks for Citibank, N.A.
Along with several non-profit organizations, Ms. Ecton serves or has served as a board member or chairman of numerous publicly traded and privately held companies. She has spoken on the subject of leadership at various national organization conferences, numerous graduate schools of business, colleges and universities, and many corporations.
Ms. Ecton earned her MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. She was awarded the Frederick Sheldon Fund Fellowship by Harvard University that enabled her to travel around the world for an academic year, studying pollution control efforts in 40 countries. Ms. Ecton received her BA in economics from Wellesley College, graduating as a Durant Scholar.
In addition to her election to the Harvard Board of Overseers, Ms. Ecton was also elected president of the Harvard Business School Club of NY and president of the Harvard Business School Association’s Executive Council. She also served on the Business Advisory Council of the Carnegie Mellon Graduate School of Industrial Administration. Ms. Ecton was awarded the Wellesley College Alumnae Achievement Award.
A devoted participant at the Bible Study Fellowship in Scottsdale, AZ, Ms. Ecton attends the Scottsdale Bible Church and takes classes at Phoenix Seminary. She was elected to the board of Alliance Defending Freedom in May 2017.
