Biography
Scott Scharpen
img-Scott-Scharpen-121218

Scott Scharpen is president and founder of The Scharpen Foundation, a Christian non-profit organization. Since its founding in 2007, the Foundation’s primary work over the last several years is operating a pro-life licensed mobile pregnancy clinic under the name Go Mobile For Life. Scott and his wife Carolyn have worked as a team to oversee Go Mobile’s ministry and clinic operations. In order to broaden the community reach and serve women even more effectively, the Foundation gifted the mobile clinic to a nearby pregnancy center (Birth Choice Centers) at the beginning of 2019. As a passionate advocate for life, Scott continues his pro-life involvement by serving on the Birth Choice Centers board of directors and reaching out to churches and the community to engage leaders.

Prior to his work with the Foundation, Scott enjoyed a successful consulting career as a healthcare business executive at Stockamp & Associates, helping clients generate significant net revenue and process improvement. Scott worked with some of the nation’s leading healthcare providers such as New York-Presbyterian, Northwestern Hospital, Stanford University, Loma Linda University, and Intermountain Healthcare.

Scott served 10 years as board chairman of ParentalRights.org, an organization dedicated to preserving the fundamental right of parents to protect the upbringing, care, and education of their children, free from inappropriate government interference.

He is principal advisor at MindAptiv, a software firm based in Denver, Colorado. MindAptiv is changing the foundations of computing so there is a bridging of the gap between human intentions and machine behaviors, enabling users to better achieve the outcomes they desire.

Scott has served as a volunteer pastor and board member at Rock Valley Christian Church since its founding in 2005.

He has a degree in economics from Stanford University. Scott and Carolyn live in Southern California and have two adult children.
